UrbanChain, one of the UK’s fastest-growing private technology companies, has appointed Jack Holmes as Growth Marketing Manager.

The company experienced significant revenue growth, increasing from £2.4 million in 2023 to £25 million in 2024. UrbanChain achieved recognition as the UK’s third fastest-growing private tech company on the Sunday Times Tech Track ranking. The organisation plans to expand its renewable energy operating system across additional customers, sectors, and geographic regions, with marketing identified as essential to this expansion.

Jack Holmes brings 15 years of experience in B2B and B2C marketing within the energy technology and renewables sectors. His background includes positions at Evergreen Energy and Metis (SMS Plc’s renewable division), where he focused on air source heat pump, solar, and EV technology markets. Holmes has also collaborated with marketing agencies Global and BGFG on campaigns for organisations including Logitech, The Shard, and Silverstone Racetrack.

Charlie Parry, Chief Development Officer, stated:

“UrbanChain’s growth means we need to connect with more customers, faster, and in more targeted ways. Jack’s experience will help us sharpen our message, expand our reach, and unlock the next phase of adoption for our platform.”

Holmes commented:

“I’m over the moon to join such a pioneering company. UrbanChain’s operating system is game-changing for businesses and communities, enabling cleaner, more resilient energy markets. I look forward to developing strategies that build on the amazing work the team has accomplished so far, and the new opportunities ahead.”

The company, backed by European investment group Eurazeo, directly connects renewable energy generators with consumers through private energy markets that operate independently from wholesale price volatility. Its customer base includes industrial and commercial enterprises, office buildings, data centres, local authorities, housing associations, industrial facilities, and hospitals.
